Job Title: Engineer / Senior Engineer

Position Summary:

Supervises and directs all Engineering and design activities on the assigned projects. Monitors all engineering, design and CAD drafting activities to assure conformance with Client and/or Company specifications, governing codes, and good engineering practice. Assures that every effort is made to meet the project schedule within the budgeted effort hours allotted. Makes decisions with regard to manpower, staffing and scheduling of the project. Experience in burner design / fired heater design / Boiler design preferred.

Responsibilities:

Gain a full understanding of the project scope and procedures.
Establish drawing and design package requirements, project procedures and controls, stressing, in so far as possible, continuity within all disciplines.

Other Essential Functions:

• Knowledge on equipment design / plant layout / piping design
• Good acumen on engineering/drafting software like Solidworks/Solid Edge / Autocad/Inventor etc.
• Process Engineering calculation.
• Candidate must have sound engineering fundamentals and system design ability to optimize design as per relevant international codes.
• Travel to customers and suppliers sites for meetings, site surveys, equipment inspections, etc., whenever required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills including interaction with clients.
• To be a mentor to junior staff, promoting Continual Professional Development activities.
• Responsible for detailed Engineering study of project document, Client specifications, and other technical documents.
• To finalize Process Engineering documents like Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Equipment selection of Burners and Hot Gas Generator, Line Sizing and Pressure drop Calculations.
• To prepare technical datasheets of Burner and Hot Gas Generator (HGG) and prepare commissioning curves.
• To review General Arrangement Drawing of Equipment from Process point of view.
• Provide technical support to commissioning team to commissioned Burner Start-up and operations as per actual design.

Qualifications: 

BE/B.Tech – Chemical  – with recognized institute/university.

Skills & Experience 

• Minimum of 3-8  years’ experience in Process Design Engineering
• Experience in managing Engineering projects to a successful conclusion
• Familiarity with process controls and strategy
• Ability to work well with others and lead by example
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
• Good communication skills with clients and employees
