The Aftermarket Project Specialist works closely with the Aftermarket Parts Manager to ensure repair orders and units orders are shipped complete, on schedule, and under budget.  Understanding and application of all aspects of Project Management. The Aftermarket Project Specialist reports directly to the Aftermarket Parts Manager.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • The Aftermarket Project Specialist will take over ownership of repair order, engineered solution projects, and SP/Unit projects after the line-up meeting is conducted. Ownership will continue through installation.
  • Work with a cross functional team of engineers, shop employees, and office workers.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure project schedules remain on time.
  • Establish and schedule projects in SAP.
  • Act as main customer contact for the project.
  • Monitor schedules and submit to the customer as required.
  • Expedite deliveries as necessary to insure on time delivery.
  • Schedule and lead weekly status meeting(s) for units and repair orders.
  • Unit and repair order quotation follow-ups and keep Sales Force Records up to date; collaborate with Aftermarket Parts & Units Specialist and Aftermarket Repair Order Specialist.
  • Customer contact: respond to requests for quotes or provide information as needed.
  • Preparation of repair order and SP/Unit quotes may be required as needed and department workload requires.
  • Reflect in personal demeanor and professional integrity the true image of the company to customers and prospects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Occasional travel is required to visit customers in US, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experiences

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering required.
  • 2-5 years project management experience preferred; with project management certification.
  • Mechanical and electrical machine background preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Sales Force preferred.
  • Must possess a positive attitude, adaptability, integrity, strong record keeping skills, the ability to build relationships, the ability to work well under pressure, willingness to learn and grow, self-motivated and effective communication skills.
