Fives Lund is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead a portfolio of industrial inspection-related projects. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team consisting of software engineers, hardware specialists, data scientists, and laser research scientists. You will play a pivotal role in steering the development of an IoT Edge compute solution tailored for Fives' industrial robots, a product that is set to revolutionize the manufacturing sector, especially in aerospace, both commercial and military. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct the scope and direction of projects focused on industrial inspection applications
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap and budget of portfolio opportunities and brief upper management and Corporate Operations on the status and progress
  • Lead assigned sales opportunities through a gated milestone process, leading to a proposal effort or a no-bid decision
  • Develop teaming strategies, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements
  • Work proposal requirements with internal organizations (e.g. Contracts, HR, Finance, IT, Security, etc.)
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of real-time, data streaming, and analysis software products
  • Collaborate with international research institutions for designing cutting-edge sensor hardware
  • Manage the design and delivery of robust, secure, and scalable applications
  • Ensure high-quality rapid development within budget and time constraints
  • Manage product quality, root cause analysis, resolution, and maintain high quality through the release cycle
  • Support recruitment and hiring efforts for internal individual contributors and/or technical partners

 

Education and Experiences

Our ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science or a related field
  • Proven 10 years’ experience in managing complex projects involving manufacturing quality systems (such as 6-sigma, lean, ISO 9000, Measurement System Analysis)
  • Strong team building, time-management, and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Extensive experience in collaboration tools in a hybrid work environment
  • Proficient in software development life cycle, Agile workflows, statistical analysis, data modeling, and IoT frameworks
  • Experience in robotics, sensor data acquisition, processing data from cameras using machine vision algorithms, and development of Computer Vision (CV) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms
  • Experience with Composite Manufacturing of aerospace structures a plus
  • Familiarity with professional software engineering practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management (DevOps, Git), build processes, testing, and operations
  • Background in spatial mathematics will be an advantage
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $129,546-$163,637 annually, depending on education and experience.
