Fives Lund is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer for our office located in Seattle, Washington to research, develop, design and oversee the implementation of custom-engineered solutions for advanced equipment in a variety of highly technical industries.
The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial automation, machine design, concept generation and commissioning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilizes engineering and physics principals to generate industrial machine designs
- Uses 3D CAD systems to generate mechanical designs, create assemblies and produce mechanical drawings
- Performs and interprets Finite Element Analysis using programs such as SolidWorks
- Uses PLM and PDM systems to manage data and configuration
- Provides and interprets pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
- Troubleshoots and debugs industrial mechanical systems
- Mentors Level I and Level II engineers as needed
Education and Experiences
Our ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
- 5yrs ME experience required
- PE certification a plus
- Experience in machine design, hydraulics & pneumatics required
- Experience with CATIA/SolidWorks required
- Ability to proactively anticipate potential problems and propose solutions
- Ability to analyze complicated systems
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Solid computer skills and experience

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $95,786-$123,959 annually, depending on education and experience.
Due to the nature of our contracts, only U.S. persons are eligible for this position.
